St. James Records "Yes, I Believe In God!" Song.

Contemporary Christian artist and "Yes, I Believe in God" campaign spokeswoman, Rebecca St. James, has recorded a new song in memory of Cassie Bernall's courageous witness before her death.

Recorded in September, St. James' new song, "Yes, I Believe in God," was scheduled, as of this writing, for release on October 22 to 1,500 Christian radio stations nationwide. Her song is also on the latest re-release of her "Pray" album now in Christian bookstores and will, by mid-November, be available as a single CD in her "No Secrets" video package.

The original idea for the song came from Janet Folger, of the Center for Reclaiming America. After composing a first draft, Folger contacted St. James by phone, who was thrilled about the song and the Center's "Yes, I Believe in God" campaign, an effort to encourage and equip Christian students to share Christ in public schools. Later, Folger met St. James backstage after a South Florida concert. St. James was so enthusiastic about the campaign that she stayed up late after her performance to write the song's final version. "I'm excited about the release of the song, "said Janet. "It is my prayer that Christian kids everywhere will be encouraged to share their belief in God with the world around them."

Locally sponsored "Yes, I Believe in God" rallies have been held in Englewood, Colorado; Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and in Greenville, South Carolina, where over 12,000 students attended.
